Note that if you share files or printers over the Internet via WINS
this fix is not for you!

Step 1: Right-click Network Neighborhood and select Properties.
Step 2: Click on the Bindings tab.
Step 3: Select Show Bindings for: all adapters.
Step 4: Open the Remote Access WAN Wrapper that contains the entry "WINS Client(TCP/IP)".
Step 5: Click the Disable button.
Step 6: Click OK and reboot when asked.
